What Is account.mcd.com?
account.mcd.com is the official login portal for corporate McDonald’s employees in the US. Corporate McDonald’s employees access pay stubs, W-2 forms, and employee records through account.mcd.com using the McHire system.
This portal is for corporate-owned McDonald’s locations only. The McDonald’s employee payroll website is not one single URL: corporate and franchise stores use different portals. If you work at a franchise location and account.mcd.com does not recognise your credentials, your franchise uses a separate system. Check our full employee login guide to find the right portal for your location.

What You Can Access Inside account.mcd.com {#access}
Once logged in, corporate McDonald’s employees can access:
Pay stubs and payroll history: view and download current and past pay stubs as PDFs. Navigate to the Earnings or Pay Stubs section after logging in. McDonald’s pays most employees bi-weekly, typically on Fridays. New pay stubs appear in the portal on payday.
W-2 and tax documents: navigate to Tax Documents or Year-End Forms to download your W-2. By law, your employer must provide your W-2 by January 31 each year. If your W-2 has not appeared by mid-February, contact the Technology Support Desk.
Personal information: update your address, contact details, and emergency contacts without going through HR.
Benefits information: view health insurance, retirement contributions, and other benefit details connected to your employment.
Direct deposit management: update your bank account details for payroll deposits.
archID: McDonald’s New Login System {#archid}
archID is McDonald’s new identity and access management platform providing a seamless and secure login experience across all McDonald’s digital workforce services.
Everyone with a McDonald’s ID already has an archID username, but not everyone knows what it is. You can find yours at archid.mcd.com, which requires you to log in first with your current McDonald’s ID username and password.
Your old EID still works at account.mcd.com in most cases. However, as McDonald’s completes the archID rollout, some applications will require the new username format. If you start seeing login errors that did not happen before, check archid.mcd.com to confirm your correct username.
Most corporate and market staff employees have a legacy username in the MC##### format. For most franchise staff, restaurant managers, and crew, the legacy username is the same as their EID.
How to Reset Your account.mcd.com Password {#reset}
Go to account.mcd.com/manage/reset/ to reset your password. You need your McDonald’s username along with your password recovery email or answers to your security questions.
McDonald’s provides two methods to verify your identity during a password reset: recovery email and security questions. If you set up only one of these methods, you will be prompted for that one automatically. If you set up both, you can choose which one to use.
If neither method works because you no longer have access to your recovery email, ask your manager to update your email address in the HR system before attempting another reset.
Common Login Errors at account.mcd.com and How to Fix Them {#errors}
“Invalid username or password”
Double check that you are entering your EID exactly as assigned, not your email address. EIDs follow the MC##### format for most corporate staff. If you recently transitioned to archID, try your archID username instead. Then try a full password reset at account.mcd.com/manage/reset/.
Blank white screen or JavaScript error
The account.mcd.com site requires JavaScript. If your browser does not support JavaScript or it is disabled, the page will not load. Enable JavaScript in your browser settings, then reload the page. If that does not fix it, switch to Chrome.
“Contact administrator” error on login
If you see an error telling you to contact the administrator, try navigating to the application using a different device first to check whether the issue is specific to one device. If the problem appears on all devices, contact the Technology Support Desk and provide a screenshot of the error message.
Account locked after failed attempts
Wait several minutes, then try once more with your correct credentials. If the account remains locked, call the Global Corporate Technology Service Desk at +01-630-623-5000, available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Forgot your EID entirely
Ask your manager to look up your profile in Global Account Manager (GAM). If you also forgot the email address linked to your account, your manager can run a GAM email report to find it.
