Which Portal Do You Actually Need?
Burger King’s portal situation is more fragmented than McDonald’s. Burger King Corporation itself is owned by Restaurant Brands International (RBI). Most US restaurants are franchise-operated, and the largest single franchisee until recently was Carrols Restaurant Group, which operated hundreds of US locations before RBI began refranchising them. This history means multiple portal systems exist in parallel.
Answer this question first: who employs you — RBI corporate, a Carrols-operated restaurant, or an independent franchise operator?

ess.burgerk.com — The Carrols Employee Self Service Portal
ess.burgerk.com is the Burger King Employee Self Service (ESS) portal powered by Sage and managed by Carrols Restaurant Group. Current BK employees use it to view pay stubs, check work schedules, and access tax documents. It is also referred to as the BK Gateway by some employees.
You can log in at ess.burgerk.com/ess/ using your employee ID and PIN.

How to log in:
- Open your browser and go to ess.burgerk.com/ess/
- Enter your employee ID
- Enter your PIN
- Navigate to Pay Stubs, Schedule, or Tax Documents from the dashboard
If you are a first-time user and have not yet set up your PIN, contact your manager or the Carrols payroll team directly for your initial access credentials.
Carrols Employee Portal — carrols.com/Home/Employee
A second access point for Carrols employees is the Carrols Corporation portal directly.
Log in at carrols.com/Home/Employee for Carrols-specific HR tasks. From there, you can access ADP online pay statements, view your pay summary, and access W-2 documents online.
First-time users need their employee ID, PIN or password, the email tied to their account, date of birth, and the last three digits of their SSN to verify identity and set up access.
Former Carrols employees without portal access can email payroll@carrols.com or call +1-315-479-5548 to request copies of pay stubs or W-2 forms.
RBI Corporate Employees — Workday
If you work at a Restaurant Brands International corporate office rather than a restaurant, your HR and payroll system is Workday. RBI uses Workday for corporate staff HR, payroll, and benefits management.
Your Workday URL and login credentials are provided by RBI HR during onboarding. Contact RBI HR directly if you have not received your credentials or if your access has lapsed.
Franchise Employee Portals — Multiple Systems
Independent Burger King franchise operators across the US use a wide range of payroll platforms. The most commonly used systems at Burger King franchise locations include the Carrols Corporation Portal, ADP, Paylocity, GreenShades Online, and Paycom.
Additional systems used by specific large franchise groups include:
Kronos Workforce Central, used by EYM Group which operates hundreds of Burger King, Denny’s, KFC, and Pizza Hut restaurants across eight US states. Employees at EYM Group locations log in at kronos.eymgroup.com/wfc/logon.
UltiPro (now UKG Pro), used by GPS Hospitality which is one of the largest independent Burger King franchise operators. GPS Hospitality employees access UltiPro via InfoSync at infosync.ultipro.com.
Toms King employees use the UltiPro system as well. BK Corporation employees at company-operated locations can access pay stubs at paystubportal.com/bkc using their employee ID and PIN.

BK Global Link — Benefits Portal
Burger King corporate employees access their benefits portal at bklinkglobal.com. This portal covers health and welfare benefits including medical, dental, and vision; retirement and savings plans including 401k; flexible spending accounts; short and long-term disability; and life insurance enrollment.
To log in to bklinkglobal.com, enter your username and password provided during benefits enrollment. If you have not used it before, contact your HR department for your initial login credentials.
New Employee First Login
If you just started at Burger King and have not set up your portal access yet, here is what to do:
For Carrols or ess.burgerk.com users, your manager provides your employee ID and initial PIN during your first week. You need both to access the portal. If you did not receive them, ask your direct manager or general manager rather than attempting to register yourself.
For independent franchise locations, your manager or the franchise HR contact gives you the specific portal URL and initial credentials on or around your first shift. This information is sometimes included in your onboarding paperwork.
Do not attempt to register on any portal using a public registration link without verifying the URL with your manager first. Several copycat sites exist that mimic employee portal login pages.
Forgot Password or PIN
ess.burgerk.com / Carrols portal: Use the Forgot Password or Forgot PIN link on the login screen. If you no longer have access to the email on file, contact the Carrols payroll team at payroll@carrols.com or call +1-315-479-5548. Have your employee ID and last four digits of your SSN ready.
Franchise portals (ADP, Paylocity, UltiPro, Kronos): Use the Forgot Password option on the relevant portal login page. If that fails because you no longer have access to the email on file, contact your franchise HR office or your general manager to have your credentials reset on their end.
Common Burger King Employee Login Problems
“I don’t know which portal my location uses”
Ask your general manager directly. They will know within seconds. You can also check the break room notice board — most franchise groups post the payroll URL alongside first-login instructions for new crew.
Portal page will not load
Try Chrome or Edge first. Clear your browser cache, then try again. If the page fails on multiple devices, the portal may be temporarily down for maintenance. Wait an hour and try again.
Employee ID not recognised
Confirm with your manager that your employee record is fully set up in the system. Some locations take 24 to 48 hours after your first shift to activate your account in the payroll portal. If it has been more than 48 hours since your first shift and your ID still does not work, contact your franchise HR office.
Access cut off after leaving Burger King
