Before you sit down to take the survey at www.mybkexperience.com, check that you meet the requirements. Most customers qualify easily, but a few specific rules catch people off guard — especially the 48-hour receipt window, which is far stricter than most fast food surveys.

Who Can Take the MyBKExperience Survey? {#who}
The survey is open to legal residents of the USA and Canada aged 18 or older. Burger King employees and their immediate family members cannot participate.
That covers the core eligibility. Beyond those basic requirements, you also need a valid receipt from a recent qualifying purchase to enter. There is no way to take the survey without one.
Receipt Requirements — What Counts as a Valid Entry {#receipt}
Your receipt must be from the last 48 hours. This is the most important rule to know. The MyBKExperience system requires you to complete the survey within 48 hours of the purchase timestamp.After that window closes, the system automatically rejects the store number and you cannot proceed, no matter how carefully you enter the details.
This is significantly stricter than McDonald’s MCDVoice, which gives customers 7 days, and the UK Food for Thought survey, which allows 60 days. With MyBKExperience, take the survey the same day or the very next day to be safe.
Your receipt must show a participating location’s details. Most standard Burger King receipts include the survey invitation and either a 16 to 20-digit survey code or the full visit details needed for manual entry. Receipts from some delivery orders or third-party platforms may not include survey codes.
Each receipt works for one survey only. Once a receipt is used to take the survey, the code is deactivated. If someone else in your household used the same receipt, you need a new one from a new visit.
How Often Can You Take the MyBKExperience Survey? {#frequency}
The MyBKExperience survey is limited to one entry per person per 30-day period. This is a monthly limit, not a per-location limit. Unlike McDonald’s MCDVoice, which allows up to 5 surveys per month per restaurant location, Burger King limits each person to one survey completion per month regardless of how many different locations they visit.
This means you can visit Burger King ten times in a month, but only one of those visits generates a valid survey entry and reward.
Validation Code Rules {#code}
Once you complete the survey and receive your validation code, these rules apply:
The code expires in 30 days. The validation code expires 30 days after the receipt date. Use it well before that date.
The code is valid at the same location only. The coupon is valid at the same Burger King where the original receipt was issued. You cannot use it at a different location.
The code is non-transferable. It belongs to the customer who completed the survey and cannot be passed to another person, though in practice Burger King cashiers do not check identity when redeeming.
The code cannot be combined with app offers. It cannot be combined with other digital coupons or BK app offers.
A qualifying purchase is required to redeem. A purchase of fries or hash browns and a drink is required to claim the free sandwich.
How MyBKExperience Rules Compare to McDonald’s MCDVoice
Understanding the differences between the two biggest fast food surveys helps you get the most from both programs.
| Rule | MyBKExperience | MCDVoice |
| Receipt validity | 48 hours | 7 days |
| Monthly survey limit | 1 per person | 5 per restaurant location |
| Minimum age | 18 years old | 13 years old |
| Eligible countries | USA and Canada | USA and Canada |
| Reward redemption | Same store only (check receipt) | Varies by location |
| Code expiry | 30 days | 7 to 30 days |
| Combine with app deals | No | No |
The 48-hour window is the biggest practical difference. McDonald’s gives you a full week to take the MCDVoice survey. Burger King expects you to do it within two days. Keep your BK receipt somewhere visible after your visit so you remember to take the survey before the window closes.
